Eligibility for the Wellcome Early-Career Awards: Applicants must: Be early-career researchers ready to lead innovative health-related research. Hold a PhD (viva passed) or have 4+ years of equivalent research experience. Have ≤3 years postdoctoral experience (exceptions for breaks/part-time). Demonstrate strong research skills and project delivery. Commit ≥80% research time to the project (up to 40% clinical duties for clinicians). Be based at an eligible UK, Ireland, or low-/middle-income (excl. India/China) organization. Have the award administered by a not-for-profit institution. Not hold a tenured salaried post during the award (except in eligible countries). Not have pending or hold equivalent early-career awards.
