Eligibility Criteria: The applicants can be of any nationality. The candidates should not have a permanent post in a university or not-for-profit organization. Applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree. Applications from the candidates who have just submitted their Ph.D. are not accepted. Applicants should be in the early stages of his/her research career and have between 3 to 8 years of research experience. Applicant's research must be within the Royal Society’s remit of natural sciences, which includes: biological research and biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, mathematics, and physics. Application Process: All eligible candidates must apply through the application and grant management system, Flexi-Grant®. The shortlisted applicants are invited to an in-person interview at the Royal Society. Value of the Award: Contribution to the award holder’s salary, Indirect and estate costs, Equipment costs, and research expenses including consumables, travel, etc. Contribution towards research assistance salary and associated indirect and estate costs, Support for a new four-year PhD studentship, Relocation and visa costs for the applicants and their dependants (partners and children).
