Eligibility Criteria for University of Auckland Māori Academic Excellence Scholarship: Applicants must be New Zealand Māori Applicants must be a New Zealand citizen or permanent residents Applicants must be enrolled in the final year of study at a New Zealand secondary school or kura. Applicants must intend to enroll full-time in an undergraduate degree or a Certificate of Health Sciences followed by an undergraduate degree at the University of Auckland in the following year. Applications can also be considered for: Students who have studied until at least the end of Year 11 at a New Zealand secondary school or kura and are currently studying overseas in an NCEA, IB, or CIE program. Students who have completed an NCEA, IB, or CIE program within the year of application. Value of University of Auckland Māori Academic Excellence Scholarship: Up to $27,000 in total, comprising one year of catered accommodation in a Waipapa Taumata Rau, University of Auckland Hall of Residence in the first year plus $5,000 paid in installments. Application Process: Scholarship applications will usually open around six weeks before the closing date.
