Eligibility Criteria for University of Auckland Academic Potential Scholarship - School Leavers: Applicants must be New Zealand citizens or permanent residents. Applicants must be in their final year of study at a New Zealand secondary school or kura. Applicants studying overseas, with at least Year 11 completed at a New Zealand secondary school and currently in an NCEA, IB, or CIE program, may apply. Māori and Pacific applicants intending to enroll in a Certificate of Health Sciences at the University of Auckland may also be eligible. Academic Requirements: Tier 1 Scholarship: Minimum NCEA rank score of 240 (from the previous year's study). Minimum CIE rank score of 300. Minimum predicted IB score of 32. Tier 2 Scholarship: Minimum NCEA rank score of 220. Minimum CIE rank score of 260. Minimum predicted IB score of 29. Tier 3 Scholarship: Minimum NCEA rank score of 200. Minimum CIE rank score of 200. Minimum predicted IB score of 27. Value of the University of Auckland Academic Potential Scholarship - School Leavers: Awards are granted in three different tiers, with each tier offering a maximum value of $27,000. The Review Committee will decide which tier a successful applicant will receive.
