Eligibility
Eligibility Criteria for the Transfer Leadership Scholarship: The application is open to transfer students from all nationalities. The applicant must be a new, incoming transfer student. The applicant must submit the Transfer Leadership Application and Agreement form. The applicant must have attained a cumulative GPA of 3.5/ 4.0 scale, and are in good academic standing at their college at time of application. Scholars must maintain a GPA of 3.25 or higher. Students with GPAs that drop below 3.25 for two consecutive semesters become ineligible to continue as TLS Scholars. Be a full-time student enrolled in a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester. Awards will be determined based on academic achievement, essay strength, leadership resume strength, and letter of recommendation. Application Process: Submit a leadership essay answering the question, “How would you be a catalyst for change at Illinois Tech and throughout your post-graduate career?* Submit a leadership resume. Submit a letter of recommendation. Attend a scholarship interview. Value of the Scholarship: Scholarship awards range from $30,000 annual tuition to Full Tuition. Leadership training/mentorship each year. Additional Information: The Transfer Leadership Scholarship cannot be combined with other Illinois Tech institutional scholarships such as Chicago STAR, Chicago Police and Fire, PTK, and more. If the recipient earns multiple awards, the university will award the highest institutional award for which the student is qualified, but will not combine multiple awards.
