Eligibility Criteria for The Meyerhoff Scholars: Applicants must: be high school seniors with strong academic achievement intend to pursue doctoral-level study (Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D.) in science or engineering show interest in advancing minorities in STEM fields apply through nomination (strongly encouraged, but not required), typically by teachers, school counselors, mentors, or community leaders apply to the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and the Meyerhoff program. Value of The Meyerhoff Scholars: Provides approximately: $5,000 / $10,000 / $15,000 per year for in-state students $10,000 / $15,000 / $22,000 per year for out-of-state students The award supports tuition, mandatory fees, and other educational expenses for four years.
