Eligibility for the Marian Cranwell Prize: The Marian Cranwell Prize will be awarded annually to the student who, in the opinion of the selection panel, completed the best thesis or dissertation focussing on the areas of environmental or ecological science, including the cultural history of environmental areas, in fulfillment of the requirements for a Masters or Ph.D. degree. The thesis or dissertation must have been submitted and examined by University regulations, and the award of the degree approved between 1 January and 31 December of the previous year. Selection Process: Nomination is made to the Scholarships Office. The Prize will be awarded by the University of Auckland Council on the recommendation of the selection panel. Application Process: Students do not need to apply for this scholarship, award, or prize or complete an online application form. It is awarded on the recommendation of the relevant faculty or University of Auckland committee. Value of Marian Cranwell Prize: The value of the Marian Cranwell Prize will be $3,600.
