Eligibility
Eligibility criteria - Study Program Requirements: Open to students applying for a full-time Master's program (excluding Humanities, LLM non-advanced, and MSc programs at Leiden Law School). Nationality: Non-EEA/EFTA students (except for some specific programs such as LLM Advanced Studies, MSc in International Relations and Diplomacy). UK students are also eligible. Academic Requirements: Applicants must have excellent academic results, typically ranking in the top 10% of their previous study program. Benefits/Value - The LExS covers partial tuition fees. Award levels are:€10,000, €15,000, €17,500, €18,500, or €19,000 Note: The scholarship does not cover full tuition fees, and recipients are still required to show proof of sufficient funds for a student visa. Application Process - Admission Application: Apply online for a Master's program at Leiden University and pay any applicable application fees. Scholarship Application: After submitting the admission application, go back to the "Apply" screen and click on "Scholarships" to apply for LExS. Motivation Letter: Upload a motivation letter (max. 500 words) explaining why you are applying. Deadline: Submit your application by the scholarship deadline. Late applications will not be accepted. Selection: Faculties will nominate scholarship recipients, and applicants will be notified by the end of April.
