Be currently studying at a higher education institution in Germany. Have at least 10 months of study remaining at the time of application. Intend to pursue a Master's degree, Diplom, Magister, or PhD at a German higher education institution. Be of the Catholic faith or belong to another Christian denomination (particularly applicants from the Near and Middle East). Applicants from other religions may be considered if recommended by Catholic partners and willing to engage in interreligious dialogue. Possess German language skills at a communicative level. Demonstrate above-average academic or research potential. Show commitment to returning to and contributing to their home country or region after completing their studies. Demonstrate religious and social commitment or willingness to engage in interreligious dialogue. Have German language proficiency of at least B1 level (or A2 for English-language degree programs) for participation in the KAAD educational program.
