Be studying at the Master’s or Doctoral level. Have served as a Graduate Student Instructor during any of the three academic terms in the previous year. Demonstrate excellence in teaching based on: teaching evaluation scores, student comments, and a strong record of competent and successful course administration. Value of Graduate Student Instructor Award in Philosophy: One award valued at a minimum of $200 is awarded annually. Application Process: No separate application is required. Eligible students are automatically considered and selected by the Faculty/Department based on teaching performance and evaluations.
