Eligibility criteria for the Go Waitaha Canterbury Scholarship: Be a Year 13 student or on a gap year In the year of application (or the previous year if on a gap year), be attending a school and/or living outside the Greater Christchurch area Have achieved Merit at NCEA Level 2 or a corresponding level in an equivalent university entrance qualification Be able to demonstrate financial hardship making it difficult to undertake tertiary study Complete the separate UC Application for Accommodation online form by the advertised date Complete the New Zealand Common Confidential Reference Form by the advertised date Provide a confidential reference in support of the selection criteria. Value of Go Waitaha Canterbury Scholarship: Approximately NZD $15,000 contribution toward hall accommodation fees, plus priority hall placement and access to mentoring, development programmes, field trips, and workshops.
