Eligibility Criteria for the Eugene J. Blackman Scholarship: The application is open to all nationals. Freshmen are eligible for this scholarship, but typically awarded to 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year students who aren&rsquo;t yet graduating. All candidates must demonstrate outstanding professional promise in theatre. Selection Process: All prospective students to submit a portfolio no matter what area of theatre-making you are interested in. The students' portfolio should comprise a broad range of academic and creative accomplishments. The portfolio may include Performance, Production (Design/Technology/Stage & Production Management/Dramaturgy/Theatre Studies/Choreography), Playwriting and Directing. Auditions for the Theatre major are not required &ndash; they are encouraged. You may audition in-person on campus or virtually over Zoom. Auditioning can help to enhance your admissions profile and increase your merit-based financial aid if accepted.
