Eligibility Criteria for ALECOSTA: Alemania-Costa Rica DAAD 2026: Applicants must: Be a university lecturer at one of the following Costa Rican universities: University of Costa Rica Costa Rica Institute of Technology National University State Distance University National Technical University Value of ALECOSTA: Alemania-Costa Rica DAAD 2026: Monthly scholarship payments provided by Costa Rican partners. Travel allowance (if not provided by the home university). Initial language course in Germany (up to 6 months for Master’s and doctoral candidates) including accommodation and pocket money, or a language course during the course of study. Health, nursing care, accident, and liability insurance for the scholar; optional health and liability insurance for accompanying family. One-year research and study grant. Printing costs subsidy for doctoral students. German language course costs for accompanying spouses, if applicable. Application Process: Applicants must submit an application in order to be considered for the scholarship.
