Eligibility Criteria for Cancer Research Institute Irvington Postdoctoral Fellowship 2026: Hold a doctoral degree by the date of award activation. Conduct research under a sponsor with a formal appointment of assistant professor or higher at a non-profit host institution. Be working in areas directly related to immunology or cancer immunology; the project must have relevance to cancer. Have fewer than 5 years of mentored research experience at the time of award activation (excluding M.D. residency). Applicants who have already spent 3+ years in a sponsor’s lab are only eligible in exceptional circumstances. Submit only one application per sponsor per round; faculty sponsors may not have more than 3 CRI-supported fellows at any time. Fellows can be any nationality and conduct research in the U.S. or abroad at a non-profit institution. Resubmissions are allowed if the new application demonstrates progress and improvements.
