Eligibility for the Care Leavers Bursary at the University of Surrey: Applicants must: Be a Care Leaver (looked after by a local authority for at least 13 weeks since age 14 and in care at/after age 16) OR Be an Estranged student, meaning: No communication with parents before course start, or Parents cannot be contacted / unsafe to contact, or Parents have severe mental/physical health issues preventing contact, or Both parents are deceased Be a full-time undergraduate student Be a UK student (home fee status) Be paying full tuition fees (not NHS-funded or otherwise sponsored) Value of Care Leavers Bursary at the University of Surrey: £3,000 per year bursary Additional £500 upon graduation (to support transition costs) Application Process: No separate application required.
