Have a GPA of 8.0 or above in their most recent qualification completed at a New Zealand tertiary institution. (For Māori and domestic Pacific applicants) have a GPA of 7.5+ and be a New Zealand citizen or permanent resident. Enrol in the doctoral programme within 3 months of receiving the scholarship. Value of AUT Vice-Chancellor’s Doctoral Scholarship 2026: Full tuition fees (at domestic rate) Compulsory student services fee covered Annual stipend: NZ$34,737 (full-time) NZ$17,368.50 (part-time) Application Process: Submit the complete application before the deadline.
