Eligibility Criteria for Chancellor's Award: Applicants must: Be a new international student entering Algoma University for the first time. Be enrolling in the first year of an undergraduate degree program. Be registered as a full-time student (15 credits per term during Fall and Winter). Meet one of the following academic requirements: A+ average (or country equivalent) in previous studies. Ontario applicants: 90–100% average in the top six Grade 12 U/M courses used for admission. International Baccalaureate (IB): 40–45 diploma points. Meet the minimum English language proficiency requirement: Cambridge English: 185 overall Duolingo English Test: 125 IELTS: Overall 7.0, with no band below 6.0 Pearson PTE Academic: 65 TOEFL: 560 paper-based or 85 internet-based Provide a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN) before scholarship disbursement. Note: Students with a grade C or higher in O-Level English may not need to submit an English language test. Value of Chancellor's Award: CAD $20,000 total scholarship Awarded as CAD $5,000 per academic year Application Process: Eligible students are automatically considered based on their admission application and academic record.
